The government of the United Arab Emirates, led by the Vice-President of the State and the ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid launched the "Blockchain Strategy 2021". Thus, the authorities intend to raise the standard of living of the country's population.
The blockchain strategy is based on four basic principles: the happiness of citizens and residents, the effectiveness of the government, progressive legislation and global entrepreneurship.
"The adoption of this technology will reflect on the quality of life in the UAE and will enhance happiness levels for citizens. 50 percent of government transactions on the federal level will be conducted using Blockchain technology by 2021," the emir of Dubai notes.
In the next 3 years, the UAE government intends to actively invest in training courses, events, conferences and forums to strengthen its position in the field of DLT, and to support university education in this area and related disciplines.
Mohammed bin Rashid believes that the introduction of blockchain technologies will save about $ 3 billion annually, which the government spends on document circulation.
